Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County is a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating sub-standard housing. Since 1987, we have served over 500 families with housing solutions programs and built over 220 affordable, quality- built homes for families in our community. People in our community and all over the world partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own home alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With our help, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and their families.

Decent shelter is something we all need to thrive.
Strong and stable homes build strong and stable communities.
With a little help, we all have the potential to stand on our own.
A Lasting, Meaningful Outcome
Families who partner with Habitat are extremely grateful for your help. A decent home gives them the tools they need to create a better life for themselves and their families.
A Critical Need
Habitat fixes a solvable problem for so many families and individuals who are trying to make ends meet.
Bold actions speak louder than words.
Working together, side by side, promotes understanding and self-reliance.
We’re not afraid to dig in, get dirty, and lift others up.
