Ready to change a life?
Introducing the Vera Z. Dwyer Women Build. A new name, a new format, but the same powerful mission. This year, Women Build is team competition. Gather your crew of four and join women across St. Joseph County raising funds and building homes for local families.

What's new this year?
This year is bigger and better than ever. Gather your friends, coworkers, neighbors, and family. Give yourselves a great name, and compete against other teams to raise the most money. Together, your team commits to a minimum of $1,000 in fundraising, then shows up on your scheduled build day ready to work.
We're looking for 20 teams. Will yours be one of them?
How do I get involved?
Women Build participants don't just show up to build. They fundraise, advocate, and help make homeownership possible for St. Joseph County families. Here are two ways to get involved:
Fundraising runs now through the end of June, and once your team hits your goal you'll be assigned a build day. Build days are scheduled on Fridays or Saturdays, mid-August through October.
On your scheduled build day you'll spend the day on-site doing real construction work: framing, painting, flooring, roofing, and more. No experience needed. All tools, materials, and safety training are provided.
As your team raises more, you'll unlock rewards along the way.
You'll go home with sore muscles, great photos, and the knowledge that you helped build a place a family will call home.
How does it work?
